Joining the Japanese server in Pandora Saga~

Hello boys, girls, and sad man Colt. If you're reading this, I assume you want to join the Japanese server in Pandora Saga. Let's get started.

* I recommend downloading and installing Google Chrome (Download here) for    help with translating webpages while navigating the Japanese website. Makes things MUCH easier. (Feel free to use any webpage translator you want) *

Step 0: Google Chrome Translator

While waiting for the installer to download, I'll quickly go over the Google chrome built-in translator (If you choose to use another translator, skip to Step 1). When you go to a website that isn't your native language, you should get a pop-up bar at the top of the page, such as this 

Just click the "Translate" button to translate the website. Please note, the translator is not the best, so there can be things that don't make sense (just keep that in mind). It should translate the webpage well enough to do what we need.
If this bar doesn't show up, make sure the option is turned on. Go to settings

Scroll down to "Show advanced settings..." and click it. Scroll down to "Languages" sections, and check the box next to "Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language I read"

You can close the Settings tab and continue to Step 1.

Step 1: Starting the Client download

*I've uploaded the installer to mediafire, for those who have issues obtaining it off of the main site.
  The download link is here*

The download for the jps (Japanese Pandora Saga) client does take a while, so we'll start off with that.

First, go to this Website. Scroll down until you see this image.

Click on it, and it will download the installer. Run the installer once you finish downloading it. On the webpage that you downloaded the installer, is a step-by-step guide on how to install the client. Follow that guide to install. Once you've installed the client, run the game.

* Installation notes *
To move through the dialogue boxes, click the "(N)>" buttons. (Always click the second button in the row)
The top radio button is the one that must be selected to continue on (It's just saying you agree to the terms)

When you run the game, you'll get something similar to the american version of Pandora Saga

The white numbers on top of the bars are the updates. The first number is how many updates you have installed and the second is how many updates there are. The download is over 10GBs, so it will take a while to download. Please be patient.

* Installation notes *
If the download bar "freezes" while downloading, then close and re-open the jps client to continue the download. Best way to stop it from freezing seems to be having a wired connection straight to your modem. If that doesn't help you, or you know of a better way to prevent the download freezing, by all means do it.

If you have the american ps installed with a desktop icon, the jps client can possibly overwrite your desktop icon for the american ps. To fix this, just go to the folder where the american ps is installed (the generic install spot is (C:\Marvelous USA\Pandora Saga), right-click the PNDLauncher, and create a desktop icon

Just rename the icon to whatever you'd like.

You can move on to Step 2 now.

Step 2: Making an account 

To make an account, first go here. At this part, you'll want your website translator. If you don't use Google chrome's built-in one, use whichever you chose.

Step 2.1 (Check out Google chrome's awesome translate powers!)

This first part is fairly simple. Just enter your:

Login ID

Password

Confirm your password

Email address (use a real email address, as you have to click an activation link)

Confirm your email address

Enter your birthday

Gender

Residential area (i just used tokyo)

The next part is:

Newsletter (can accept or decline, your choice)

Mobile Newsletter (again, accept or decline)

Password reminder (just select "Your favorite animal", and put ねこ (just copy/paste the Japanese))

For the captcha, you'll need to type the answer using Japanese symbols, with no spaces (might take a few tries, but you'll get it eventually).

* Typing in Japanese *

To type Japanese, use this site. 

For the captcha, all you need to do is look at the image, and use the virtual Japanese keyboard to make the symbols. Once you've gotten all the symbols, copy them

and paste them into the text box. 

Once you've done that, check the "Agree" box, and click "Send".

Step 2.2 Just click the button!

For this part, just click on the button that says "the registration"

Step 2.3 Check your email~

Very simple step. Just log into your email account, and click on the link to confirm your account creation

(Your email might be with a different website (gmail, hotmail, etc). Just use your email address, or make a new one. It doesn't really matter, just use a real email address).

If you've done everything correctly, you should see this

Happy days! You finished making an account. :)

Step 3: Logging into the game

Once you've finished the updates, and created an account, you can start the game. Yay!~

Logging into the game is self-explanatory. 

Making a character is the same as the american ps, so use that as a guide if unsure of what you have selected. (I will update this guide with translations for racials, classes, etc. before the final closure of the american server).

If/when you see this

You just need to enter ONE of your character names on the account. 

At this point, you should be in the game and on your way.

* Few notes *

In the bottom-left of your inventory, there is a red button. This button is your item mall (charge shop) manager. You should receive a free Neo Cloak when you make the account. I believe new accounts also get a stack of yellow pots which give +300% or +500% exp gain for one hour, along with 2 prof tickets (will raise your prof UP TO 50), and a ticket to rent a +7 prism weapon.
